Pidgey Spotlight Hour is a scheduled 1-hour event on a Thursday evening featuring increased Pidgey spawns. Whether the shiny form is available is determined by the event's shiny eligibility — PokéEvent lists confirmed shiny availability on the Spotlight Hour event page.

Event start times are adjusted for each timezone, so a 2:00 PM EDT Community Day starts at 11:00 AM PDT, 7:00 PM BST in London, and midnight JST the next day. PokéEvent displays every event in 29 configured regions so you can plan across timezones without manual conversion.

In-person Community Days run for 3 hours in a single window per region. The featured Pokémon spawns at an increased rate, its shiny form is available, and a special charged move is unlocked for evolution during and for 1 hour after the event window ends.

Core event mechanics (shiny availability, spawn rates, bonus multipliers) are global. Only the local wall-clock window differs per region. This means the same bonus applies in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific — just offset by the relevant timezone. PokéEvent's regional rows show the local time for each region.
